Function mnemonicToEntropy

Converts a BIP-39 mnemonic word list back into its original entropy.

Throws

If the mnemonic is invalid or the conversion fails.

  • mnemonicToEntropy(mnemonic: string[]): Uint8Array

  • Parameters

    • mnemonic: string[]

      An array of 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24 mnemonic words.

    Returns Uint8Array

    The corresponding entropy as a byte array.
